About
Book: Banking constitutes an important sector of an active financial system of a country. The banking sector provides a strong basis on which the edifice of a modern financial system of a country stands. The developments in the realm of banking have a profound effect on the economic growth of a country. I have written this book for undergraduate students of commerce and management. The book presents the banking concepts in a simple language and includes topics of contemporary developments in the sphere of banking . In addition to topics on general banking theory, the book covers topics on banking law such as negotiable instruments, crossing, endorsement,etc.,along with chapters on Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Telephone Banking and ATM. a unique feature of the book is that it includes coverage of SBI, Co-operative Banks, Indian Money Market, Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Smart Cards. The fourth edition of this book covers new concepts such as Core Banking Solution, RTGS,NEFT,E-wallet, Payment Banks and Small Banks. My deep sense of gratitude goes to my mentor and research guide(late) Dr.N.Vinayaka,, who was my source of inspiration.
