About
Book: It is essential to integrate the Engineering and Management disciplines so as to achieve rapid growth of industrialisation of the country and to improve the quality of life of the people. With this aim , Universities and professional bodies have introduced the subject production and Materials management in B.B.A ,B.B.M..,M.B.A..,M.Com..,I.C.W.A..’and A.M.I.E. course. This book , written in a logical manner in 38 chapters , containing two sections , meets the total requirements of the students , Section I deals with Production Management in 24 chapters and Section II deals with Materials Management in 14 chapters. Diagrams and Chapters have been provided wherever necessary for easy understanding of the subject . A number of solved examples are given to illustrate the text . Modern concepts such as TQM,TPM, Quality circle ,JIk,MRP,Zero Defects etc .’have been adequately explained at appropriate places in text Review Questions have been given at the end of each chapter for doing revisionary exercise by the students.
