Book: The Positive response and encouragement in the form of valuable
suggestions and comments forwarded to the author, both by academicians and
students belonging to Commerce, Business Administration and Corporate Secretary
ship courses have given me the abundant confidence to bring out the second
edition on ‘Commercial and Industrial Law’. This
second edition has been thoroughly revised and restructured, taking into
account the expectations of both the academicians and the students. The
following are some of the special features that are highlighted in this
edition. a. Formation of Contract has been clearly explained in the
form of Euler’s circles which will facilitate the students to have a good
grasp over the essential ingredients that go to constitute a contract b. Definition of every legal concept under various chapters
has been explained with necessary and appropriate illustrations. c. In Part II Industrial Law, an additional topic has
been included under the heading ‘Collective Bargaining’, a popular
device for arriving at amicable settlement between the management and the
labour force in industrial fields. d. Important and recent Case laws with latest amendments
have also been added to this present edition. This will definitely
enable the students to update their knowledge. e. Suitable diagrams and charts have been given under the
various chapters so as to help the students to have a good grip over the
subject matter. f. Yet another improvement in this edition is the addition
of important Case studies under each chapter with Hints. The case
studies will help the students to sharpen their power of reasoning in order
to arrive at correct decisions.
